REGISTRATION
What is the Maurice André International Trumpet Competition?
The Maurice André Competition is an international trumpet competition in honour of the famous French trumpeter Maurice André.
Its mission is to promote excellence in performance, support young talent and perpetuate its artistic heritage.
The 8th edition will take place in Paris from 15 to 21 February 2027.
How do I register?
To register, you must :
Send your complete application before 15 October 2026
Fill in the online registration form
Pay the video pre-selection fee of 50 €
What are the registration conditions?
Be aged under 31 at 21 February 2027
Not have won a First Prize in a previous edition of the competition
What documents do I need to validate my registration?
The file must include :
- payment of the pre-selection fee
- the signed registration form
- a valid identity document
- a detailed artistic CV
- a recent professional HD photograph with instrument
Are there any other charges?
Yes, the total cost is 200 €, The breakdown is as follows:
- 50 on registration (video pre-selection)
- An additional €150 for successful applicants
When will I be contacted by the Maurice André International Trumpet Competition once I have registered?
Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail which you should keep. The competition office may contact candidates with any questions relating to their registration. Please make sure you provide a valid e-mail address.
LOGISTICS
Are transport or accommodation costs covered by the competition?
All travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the participant.

Exception:
Finalists from outside the Paris region may be eligible for partial reimbursement of their accommodation costs (up to €400 for a maximum of 3 nights).
SCHEDULE
Who supplies the scores?
Candidates must bring their trumpet scores with them.
The piece commissioned for the competition will be sent to the selected candidates.
Are the services of an accompanying pianist provided by the‘organisation?
Yes, the services of an accompanying pianist can be provided. Candidates must request this when they register..
Lhe candidate may also bring his/her own piano accompanist. bringing their own scores.
You must imperatively let us know when you register
Are there any specific pieces to be played during the competition?
Yes, please refer to the programme on the website.
RESULTS
Are the results made public?
Yes, scores and results are published after each round.
What are the prices?
1er price: €12,000
2th prize: €6,000
3th price: €3,000
Additional prizes may also be awarded
WITHDRAWAL/CANCELLATION
To cancel your registration, please send a letter to mauriceandrecompetition@misterproductions.com. Registration fees will not be refunded.
